This video shows, step by step, how to knit a hat. This is a great project for beginners, who are ready to move to the next step of knitting in the round after learning to knit flat pieces. The hats are knit in the round, using circular knitting needles, and then we move to double pointed needles in order to decrease the stitches at the top of the hat. We finish with a pom pom and a knitting tag. I knit this hat using chunky yarn, which makes it a quick and easy knitting pattern. It uses less than one skein of Bernat "Softee Chunky" yarn.

I will share every step of the process, from casting on using the Long Tail Cast On method, to working in ribbing (k1, p1) for the brim, stockinette stitch for the main part of the hat, and decreasing stitches to finish the top.
